March 13-15, 2026 | Gates Hotel | Miami Beach, FL.

The NFBLME Executive Wellth Summit—Miami delivered three powerful days of leadership, learning, and brotherhood designed to strengthen the impact of Black and Latino male educators across the country.

Day 1 - Leadership In Action

Day one of the NFBLME Executive Wellth Summit kicked off at KIPP Miami with energy, purpose, and a deep dive into the leadership work that drives strong schools. Leaders began the morning connecting over breakfast before splitting into two immersive tracks designed to sharpen both instructional and operational excellence.

In the Chief Instructional Officer Track, fellows examined key academic initiatives, analyzed student achievement data, and stepped directly into classrooms across grades 4–8 to observe high-impact teaching in action. Through focused classroom walkthroughs and structured debriefs, leaders identified bright spots, instructional trends, and opportunities to strengthen teaching and learning across schools.

Meanwhile, the Chief Operations Officer Track brought leaders behind the scenes of the systems that make excellence possible. Participants reviewed regional operations data, toured KIPP Miami’s campus to understand the structures behind a high-functioning school environment, and engaged in a problem-of-practice deep dive to refine operational priorities for the year ahead.

The day concluded with strategic planning conversations and end-of-day reflections, where fellows translated their observations into actionable insights for their own schools and regions—setting the tone for a powerful weekend of leadership, learning, and impact.

The evening closed with an unforgettable award-winning South Beach Miami Food & Art Deco Tour, where fellows experienced the culture, history, and flavors of Miami while strengthening fellowship and connection.

Day 2 - Wellness. Wealth. Brotherhood.

Day two of the NFBLME Executive Wellth Summit blended deep reflection, powerful learning, and intentional wellness. The morning opened with connection and grounding before fellows engaged in powerful opening sessions, including Rose & Concrete and Diversity Rounds, creating space for honest dialogue and shared leadership experiences.

Energy stayed high as participants dove into the Second City Just Works experience with Jason Ball and Nelson Velasquez, using improv and interactive learning to strengthen communication, adaptability, and collaboration.

The afternoon shifted toward renewal and sustainability with Wellness Workshops featuring:

  • What Got In The Way? Leading Yourself and Your Team to Win on What Matters Most with Dr. Cametra Edwards

  • Strategies to Scale Your Wealth Without Complexity with Kevin Matthews

  • Take the Wheel of Your Health: Know Your Numbers and Let Your Final Legacy Begin with Dr. Peter Holmes

  • Identity and Legitimacy with Carlos Capellan

  • Science of Learning: Research-Based Techniques for Building Knowledge That Lasts with Joaquin Hernandez

The day also featured a Wellness Fair offering massages, facials, manicures, and pedicures for fellows—reinforcing that strong leadership requires caring for both the mind and body.

The evening closed with free time to explore Miami and connect over dinner, strengthening the brotherhood and relationships that power the Fellowship.

Final Day - Clarity and Forward Momentum

Day three of the NFBLME Executive Wellth Summit brought the weekend to a powerful close, blending reflection, collaboration, and forward momentum. Fellows began the morning connecting over breakfast before gathering for a State of the Fellowship session with Keith Brooks, aligning around the vision, progress, and future direction of the NFBLME network.

Leaders then engaged in an intensive Radical Problem-Solving (RPS) session, tackling real leadership challenges through peer-driven collaboration. Fellows sharpened their thinking, challenged one another’s assumptions, and refined practical solutions to key obstacles facing their schools and organizations.

The summit concluded with lunch, reflections, and goodbyes—sending fellows home with renewed clarity, stronger brotherhood, and actionable insights to drive even greater impact in the year ahead.

Closing Reflection

In the end, NFBLME'S Executive Wellth Summit reminded us that when elite leaders commit to sharpening their craft and strengthening one another, they return to their schools and communities better prepared to deliver what matters most: well leaders building well communities, representation and results, and stronger adults who elevate the students and staff they serve.
